The Assistant Maintenance Technician acts as an internal ambassador between the residents of the apartment community and management. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing exceptional service while maintaining value and quality in the community by assessing and repairing the property as requested.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance to the property.
Interior and exterior painting
Repairs such as sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, appliances
Replace light bulbs
Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Complete all make-ready maintenance to The Martino Group standards.
Replace light bulbs as needed
Check all appliances are functioning properly
Maintain property equipment.
Repair or replace appliances
Adhere to the Company’s safety program, policies and procedures.
Participate in the Company’s training classes, as required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hours of Operation are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be available for after hours “On Call” rotation.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
State of Texas EPA Certification to handle R22 or 410A Freon
General maintenance in a property management environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
One or more years prior Maintenance Technician experience in multi-family housing
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Possess a valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance
Other licenses/certifications required by the State
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
Work with minimal supervision
Deadline and detailed oriented
Ability to deal well with people
Must have own tools and reliable transportation
Have strong knowledgeable in all areas of property maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pool maintenance.
Additional Salary Information: Plus monthly fuel allowance and cell phone allowance.
