The National Director of Training and Development will manage all aspects of the training operations, ensuring the department is fulfilling the key initiatives set by Lincoln Military Housing. Our ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of training, program design, system mastery, development and execution and have exceptional leadership skills. Must have the ability to motivate teams and will possess the skills needed to build and evolve the talent development of Lincoln Military Housing.

Training programs include but are not limited to, property management operations and systems training, leadership development, performance management, compliance and safety. Position requires the ability to facilitate training in a classroom setting, web-based training as well as experience with instructional design and learning management system software.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
Responsible for the design and development of training programs, including content design, facilitation, eLearning, etc.
Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
Conducts instructional program training and evaluates training review criteria.
Develops and presents periodic training for regional and national staff training as needed.
Provides individual training, coaching and evaluating regional training staff.
Remains current on developments in training and instructional methodologies including technology enhancements and attends periodic seminars, forums, and meetings as needed.
Authors and organizes training systems, procedural manuals and supporting documentation for training programs and systems in accordance with Lincoln’s operational requirements.
Develops, writes and coordinates training manuals working with internal specialists for specific details. The training manuals should include: course content, visual charts, videotapes, slides, etc., with applications for web-based training.
Develops and monitors spending against the departmental budget.
Develops and maintains organizational communications such as updating company knowledge center and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
Modifies programs as needed.
Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Works effectively as a team member with other members of management on both regional and national levels.
Prepare quarterly articles for company newsletter.
Prepare periodic reports of training evaluations and recommendations for review by Leadership Team.
Assist in developing Leadership meeting agenda, speakers, guest lists, etc.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent written, oral and presentation skills, both in a classroom setting and one-on-one. Must possess strong organizational skills and creativity. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing, analyzing, and conducting instructional training programs. Experience in the Property Management or Hospitality industry a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential.
