Assistant Community Center Program Director- Part Time
15 hours per week
The Assistant Community Center Program Director is responsible for management and oversight of all daily activity at the club and associated third party vendors. Additionally, organizing events, outreach and relationships with local partners; exhibiting a strong commitment to the service needs of all customers, and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for providing a safe and adequate program environment conducive to enriching the educational experience for residents.
Manages and supervises all programs and activities in the Community Center.
Creates the resident newsletter.
Organizes and promotes all programs associated with the Fitness Facility.
Handles all 30,60, 90- day calls to new residents regarding programs and retention.
Works with staff to develop new programs.
Organizes and promotes all programs and activities scheduled for the Community Center.
Maintains positive and open communication with Community Manager and residents as well as the Community Center Program Director.
Responsible for coordinating effective program planning throughout the year.
Responsible for maintaining resident participation and attendance throughout the year through retention activities.
Handles resident issues and concerns in an efficient and professional manner; reporting all concerns to the Community Center Program Director and the Community Manager.
Where required by law, must have state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe mandated by state law
2 year degree in Business, Management or Marketing preferred.
Professional appearance and demeanor
Experience working in a supervisory capacity in an afterschool, day camp or youth based organization helpful
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents and community leaders
Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others as well as respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in an emergency situation
Excellent organizational and managerial skills
Excellent computer skills especially in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of the community and its resources preferred
Bilingual preferred but not required
Valid drivers license may be required
Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills are essential
Ability to work with a diverse group of people to include co-workers, vendors and customers.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.

This position requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
The ability and means to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane may be required.
