Launch Services manages the team that starts-up or expands business. Interacting with the client's stakeholders and the C&W Services functional support leadership, this person will provide both hands-on support as well as team leadership. This is also the senior role for the launch team and is responsible for the most significant and complex transitions as well as training and preparing the other members of the launch team to meet their individual roles and future assignments as leaders of our organization.
Job Description
Manager of Launch Services and the dedicated team and provisioned resources who deliver support for the start up, major expansion, or demobilization of business.
Responsible for training the other members of the team to lead new launches.Provide oversight and serve as a point of escalation for all launch team members.
Develops standard transition methodology and playbooks, to enable service delivery at new or existing accounts.
May be asked to assist the business pursuit teams by presenting transition services to prospective clients.
In tandem with the commercial solutions team, develop transition budgets and timelines for client solutions.
Manage the allocation of resources to support all requests coming into the Launch team. Negotiates support with the regional SVPs when demand exceeds team bandwidth and/or capabilities.
Working closely with the assigned Transition Project Manager and Workstream Leads to identify transition tasking, interdependencies, risks, barriers, and prepare transition plans for new business.
Once business is awarded, assign the appropriate resources, work closely with the client, operations team and the functional workstream leads to ensure the new services are implemented according to schedule.
Identify gaps or missing critical information during the hand off from the commercial team. Work with the appropriate teams to resolve/escalate as appropriate in order to ensure successful client on-boarding and transition.
Review and understand complex documents to include blueprints, RFPs, statements of work, financial forecasts, service agreements, business solutions, and collective bargaining agreements.
During the transition work with the Talent Acquisition, Operations and People Workstreams to source, interview, hire, and on-board new employees.
Ensure that the new team has the necessary training, tools, equipment and supplies to deliver awarded services.
Work closely with the client to ensure priorities are met, a healthy governance is initiated and any escalations are addressed promptly.
Work with the Transition Project Manager to monitor, track and report transition progress; identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure that the prescribed solution is followed closely, and any changes are approved following the C&W Services delegation of authority.
Manage transition finances to ensure costs are controlled and budgets are met.
Provide on-going support for the Operations group and their customers until the account is stabilized and operating independently.
Improve standards by leading lessons learned reviews following all major transitions.
Manage group budget and follow all HR performance management requirements e.g. goal setting, performance reviews, etc.
Partner with Finance to develop cost controls and tracking mechanisms for transition spending management.
