The Valuation and Advisory Appraisal Coordinator will be responsible for researching the data specific to the creation of the "Front-Half" of a commercial real estate appraisal report. Will include data gathering, brief write-ups and comparable property analysis. Will be dedicated to a specific group of appraisers and responsible for the reports they assign.

Key Competency Qualifications
Quality check information and letter of engagement from Job Centre (client info, address, project dates, length of time for project, appraisers assigned to project, office assigned to project, special circumstances and requests) and engagement letter. Maintain time sheet â“ 5%
Due diligence request and follow up â“ 5%
Research taxes, zoning, building information, assignment information â“ 10%
Compiling Data to write up local area analysis, utilizing CoStar, Reis and publicly available data such as taxes, zoning, and incentives. â“ 10%
Complete appraisal report analysis; provide property specific competitor analysis, vacancy statistics, historical and budgeted income & expenses, insurable cost inputs, Argus rent roll audits â“ 20%
Prepare the front end of appraisal report â“ Utilize GTT template or appraiser specific template and populate excel and word. Identify and complete market and regional analysis, appraisal mapping (property location, regional/local area, tax comparables), insert photos, and general formatting of an appraisal report. â“ 25%
Communicate effectively with local government entities and Appraisers to obtain confirmation, clarification or direction on information relating to taxes, zoning and permitting etc.â“ 5%
Respond to appraiser inquires on research and report data â“ 5%
Track project work; receipt of project, hours spent on project, in-house, completion and client due date â“ 5%
Assist in parsing large sets of qualitative and quantitative data, including rent comps, sale comps, and expense comp databases â“ 10%
Education and Experience
Bachelorâ™s degree, or equivalent industry related experience
Familiarity with commercial real estate concepts including property assessments and taxes, zoning, property values, and revenues & expenses are also important
The ability to easily grasp new but basic real estate concepts
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
A positive attitude, desire to collaborate in a team environment, sharing relevant information with colleagues and clients
Proactively problem solve and remove obstacles that prohibit us from doing our best work
