Our Building Consultancy team offers expert technical building and engineering advice to property owners and occupiers across the Asia Pacific Region. We specialize in assessing building condition, compliance, risk, function, and performance, as well as providing life cycle cost advice.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct building inspections throughout Australia, predominantly in the metro Melbourne area and regional Victoria as required.
Provide high-quality technical advice and reporting on building and asset condition, compliance, risk, function, performance, and cost.
Core competencies include:
Technical Due Diligence reporting
CAPEX forecasting
Defect diagnosis & providing remediation advice
Building pathology
Lifecycle analysis
Make-good (dilapidations)
Develop technical scopes of work for building rectification and replacement activities and manage projects from start to finish.
Build strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and maintaining high client satisfaction and retention rates.
Stay engaged in the industry by attending events and participating in marketing initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
7+ years of experience in the property/construction industry, with at least 5 years in a similar consultancy role.
Degree qualification in building surveying, asset engineering, building engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as RICS, COIB, EA, AIQS, or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
Strong understanding of all building elements and construction methods, including building services.
Proven experience in a client-facing role, acting as a âœsafe pair of handsâ.
