Job Description Summary
The TDS AMER Infrastructure Engineering role is responsible for delivering and ensuring the CW TDS Project portfolio across all global Infrastructure Programmes (office, branch, datacentre and client) and Projects are delivered to our standards and policies ensuring a smooth transition into operations.
The role has primary responsibility across our Physical and Cloud Server infrastructure, data center footprints and our Branch network â“ focusing on the Windows Server and Azure AVS environments.
This opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion.
Job Description
The ideal candidate for these roles would be able to show recent and longstanding experience in Server administration and deployments across a physical, virtual and cloud environment. Yes we are outsourced across multiple disciplines, yes this is managing and deploying Server Engineering solutions and then handing over to our MSP for operational support. This is a hands-on role & requires very strong technical knowledge across Physical and Cloud Server infrastructure to drive and strive for perfection with our Project portfolio and ensuring the entry to BAU is to standard.
You will be directly owning remote and some local projects updating our branch network infrastructure, data center infrastructure working closely with a small projects team and aligning / partnering with our outsourced BAU MSP.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Engineering excellence in our projects adhering to our policies and standards
- Ensures alignment to Service Management Processes by the Global Service Delivery Team
- Work as part of a Global Team primarily delivering projects to the AMER footprint but partnering with our EMEA and Asia program deliverables.
- Ability to align a technical service delivery execution to a global roadmap and strategy across our Operational footprint
- Act as the functional / Technical lead for all service management processes whilst delivering projects, being the escalation point for process owners and holding accountability for our core partner network (Services that are outsourced, major Incidents, etc)
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Demonstratable and recent experience working in and managing an outsourced partner environment and a clear ability to show technical experience with Infrastructure and network at a large corporate scale.
- Experience with key technical products such as: Active Directory, Cisco(servers), VMWare, Palo Alto, Netbackup, Nasuni, Windows, Azure AVD and AVS
- A practical working knowledge of deployed firewalls, WAN and LAN solutions, Wireless, Windows Servers, domains and Active Directory and general IT Operations
- Experience with cloud related operations, preferably Azure, migrations and the ongoing BAU support.
- Degree qualified appropriate to the IT industry and role.
- ITIL qualified or strong exposure.
- Working knowledge of security standards including ISO27001.
- A core understanding of the SDLC and supporting Application frameworks
