Job Description Summary
The purpose of the Head of PDS, India Investors is to provide strategic leadership, market presence, management and direction for the PDS business across India. The incumbent will build a sustainable and profitable project and
development services business across the Investor client base by adding subject matter experience and contacts, mentoring current staff, attracting new staff, and driving continuous improvement to deliver best practice.
This role will collaborate with their counterparts in other regions to grow the business. This is a people leadership role and will be responsible for the PDS teams in India. This role will be geographically based in either Gurgaon / Mumbai / Bangalore, however travel will be required.
External relationships: this role will liaise with client groups, owners, investors, landlords, agents, tenants, solicitors and other third-party organisations related to the PDS business.
Internal relationships: this role will liaise with all business teams at a local and national level, functional support and PDS APAC senior leadership team.

About the Role
⢠To lead and manage the PDS Investors business in India
⢠To develop and implement the strategy to build the business unitâ™s presence and success in the market
⢠Build on existing market strengths, identify potential opportunities for growth and organically grow the business
⢠Be the main figurehead and leader for the PDS Investors business in India, providing coaching, mentoring and development Accountabilities
⢠Plan, generate and direct business unit activities to achieve short, medium and long-term business objectives, increased profit and market share.
⢠Ensure the business unit meets or exceeds the budgeted financial objectives including revenue and margin whilst focusing on income generation to achieve annual budget.
⢠Work proactively with C&Wâ™s broader operations on tenders, client contracts, proposals and service delivery to maximise business opportunities and success rates on proposals.
⢠Promote C&W through speaking engagements at industry functions and involvement in local business organisations.
⢠Prepare and manage the overall budget
⢠Create Annual goals for the BU, ensuring alignment with C&W goals which will be aligned with wider objectives and cascade to your reports.
⢠In conjunction with the Head of PDS APAC, recruit staff and influence retention. Create and maintain staffing plan to support current and future work demands and deliverables.
⢠Ensure all staff are informed, trained and receive feedback on their performance via existing performance review process.
⢠Demonstrate the ability to adapt to and lead change and coach others in the acceptance and support of change.
⢠Review marketing material for clients
⢠Performs other duties as requested by your direct manager Relationship Management
⢠Develop and maintain an open and trusted relationship with client contacts.
⢠Develop and maintain an open and professional relationship with Heads of CRE and IFM
⢠Develop and maintain positive working relationships with PDS managers and teams responsible for service delivery to clients
⢠Develop and maintain a professional relationship with industry associations.
⢠Network and collaborate regionally, establish links to counterparts in the C&W organisation and maintain regular communication and interaction
⢠Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
⢠Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
⢠Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
⢠Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
⢠Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures.
⢠Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
⢠Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
⢠Required experience directly managing and overseeing work group or leading 3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically larger, more experienced team).
About You
⢠Relevant tertiary qualification; Post graduate qualification desirable (eg: MBA, Grad Dip)
⢠Significant experience of operating successfully in the subregion, with proven ability to operate with fluency and confidence in a complex environment
⢠More than 10 yrs experience of management at a senior position as consultant or contractor in the building or construction industry.
⢠Commercial acumen, a sound understanding of the dynamics of the markets in the subregion
⢠Proven commercial leader and manager with years of relevant and appropriate management experience
⢠Ability to attract and retain key business partners and market players
⢠Comprehensive understanding of contracting models for PDS services in the India market
⢠Sound knowledge of C&W business model and services
⢠Proven leadership skills
⢠Excellent communication and influencing skills
⢠Demonstrably sound people and business management skills of a high standard
⢠Strategic understanding with the ability to lead and manage businesses on a day-to-day basis
⢠Excellent financial acumen
⢠Fluent and persuasive negotiating skills
