Title: Vehicle Maintenance Technician
Location: Blair Nebraska
Salary: Up to $30.00 per hour depending on experience
Hours: Mon-Fri 7a-330p or 10hr days Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri 7a-530p

Job Description
What Will I Be Doing? Â
Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:Â Â
Team member must be able to work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment. âœSafety Firstâ expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.Â
Test Drive vehicles and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices as needed. Examine Vehicles to establish the extent of damage or malfunctions. Repair, replace, and adjust brakes.Â
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.Â
Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturerâ™s performance specifications.Â
Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages.Â
Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment. Repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed in conformance with established standards.Â
Must have working knowledge of the following topics: using hand / power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.Â
Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor. Must be able to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment. Also perform welding, using a cutting torch as required.Â
Must be able to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.Â
