Corporate Senior Accountant
The Corporate Senior Accountant is responsible for many aspects of financial reporting and will work directly with the Assistant Controller to develop new processes and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Initiate and post journal entries, including monthly accruals, prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, and research & resolve issues as neededÂ
Reconcile bank accounts, monitor outstanding checks and assist in cash analysisÂ
Maintaining fixed asset register and recording monthly depreciation expenseÂ
Maintaining lease register and recording monthly entriesÂ
Perform monthly variance analyses for one or more regional officesÂ
Assist in the development of new processes and procedures to improve month-end close and financial reporting and improve coordination between property accounting and corporate accounting.Â
Assist in departmental initiatives to improve efficiency and utilization of available toolsÂ
Maintain master billing schedule for properties and coordinate invoicing of monthly fees and other reimbursablesÂ
Prepare audit-related requests and other duties as assigned.Â
Education & Experience
Bachelor and/or Masterâ™s Degree. Preference in Accounting or FinanceÂ
Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skillsÂ
Deep understanding of financial conceptsÂ
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsÂ
Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
