About Us

LumaCorp Inc. was established on March 1, 1984 by James R. Mattingly and Gerald Luterman. Mr. Luterman and Mr. Mattingly were the sole stockholders of the firm until October 31, 1984, at which time the firm purchased Mr. Luterman's stock and Mr. Mattingly became the sole stockholder and director.

Mr. Mattingly remained the only stockholder until April 1, 1989, when Mr. Richard D. Kelly purchased 50% of the outstanding stock held by Mr. Mattingly. Since April 1, 1989 the stockholders of the firm have remained unchanged.

LumaCorp Inc. is a licensed Real Estate Broker and a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), The Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, The Apartment Association of Tarrant County, The Houston Apartment Association and the Austin Apartment Association and has been designated an Accredited Management Organization (AMO) by the Institute of Real Estate Management.

LumaCorp Inc.'s three officers bring over 75 years of Texas real estate experience to meet today's challenging real estate environment. We have financed, managed and renovated garden apartment communities, retail centers and commercial space. Combined, we have directed property and asset management for properties with a total insured value in excess of $1.5 billion.


Company-Paid Benefits


Regular full-time employees are eligible for paid vacation.  Your vacation is paid on an accrual basis.  Vacation is accrued at the rate of .83 days (6.67 hours) per month worked, up to a maximum of 10 days (80 hours).

80 hours of vacation can carry from year to year.  If unused vacation time remains, it may be converted 1 hr vacation for 1 hr Personal Leave or cashed out at 1 hr for ½ hr.



All employees are eligible for 6 (six) standard paid holidays a year.  There is also an additional ½ day for your birthday, for a total of 6 ½ days.


Company Leave

Company Leave days are earned on an accrual basis; 4 hours is earned for every month worked.  Unused Company Leave days may be donated to another LumaCorp employee when needed.  Company Leave days can be retained up to 30 days before being lost.


Basic Life Insurance / Accidental Death and Dismemberment

LumaCorp provides every employee with a $10,000 life insurance policy following 60-days of employment. Accidental death and dismemberment insurance covers you for accidental death or loss of limbs or sight.  Coverage amount is the same as basic life and begins after 60-days of employment.


Long Term Disability Insurance

If you become and remain totally disabled for at least 90 consecutive days, long-term disability insurance will help make up your lost income. Coverage begins after 6 months of employment.


Education Reimbursement

Any full-time employee meeting the employment requirement is eligible for up to 6 (six) days per year of paid educational leave per year.  LumaCorp requires the employee to pay for ½ of the expense. Upon successful completion of the course, the employee will be reimbursed.   If an employee does not have education leave or is not able to pay their portion of the class, LumaCorp will pay 100% of the class and you take the course on your own time.


Employee Referral Program

This is a great way to earn some extra cash.  When you recruit your friends and professional acquaintances to the LumaCorp team, you will receive a $300 referral bonus.

401(k) Plan

All full-time employees are eligible to join the 401(k) plan after 6 months of employment.  The plan allows for maximum pre-tax contributions up to 15% of your annual salary with a choice of 26 funds. LumaCorp will match your contribution 20% with no cap and you are 100% vested on day one.


Dental Insurance (you and company share cost)

Employees may choose to enroll in the Guardian Dental plan.  A network of 20,000 dentists and 100% coverage for diagnostic and preventive care.


Voluntary Group Term Life Insurance (you pay the cost)

This plan offers additional life insurance for employee and family. Coverage can range from an additional $20,000 to 5 times your annual salary up to $300,000.


Section 125 Plan (you pay cost)

This plan allows you to pay for non-covered dental care, health care, insurance premiums, and dependent daycare expenses with pre-tax dollars.


Business Casual Working Environment

Office Staff: LumaCorp will pay 50% of your corporate apparel expense after 30-days of employment.  Service Staff: LumaCorp will pay for 100% of the first 6 shirts ordered and 50% of all replacements after 30-days of employment.


Employee Assistance Program

An EAP is an employee benefit that covers all or part of the cost for employees to receive counseling, referrals, and advice in dealing with stressful issues in their lives. These may include substance abuse, bereavement, marital problems, weight issues, legal issues, financial issues, debt management, college planning, adoption planning, retirement planning, and many more. The service is completely confidential.

DALLAS, TX, Dec. 6, 2010 - LumaCorp Inc. has announced winners in their annual property toy box collection contest. Competition was stiff this year but The Courtyard pulled away with first place with their racing truck with metal pipes and wheels that turned. There was a tie for second place between El Dorado View's train set and Indian Creek's helicopter with moving propeller and lights. SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., Feb. 24, 2010 - Apartment management company LumaCorp Inc.has cut spending on maintenance, repair and operating supply procurement for its 21 properties since implementing Yardi Procure to Pay™.

LumaCorp achieved its goals with Yardi Procure to Pay. This solution integrates online supply catalogs from Yardi SiteStuffwith Yardi PAYscan™, which converts paper invoices into electronic transactions in LumaCorp's Yardi Voyager™ property management and accounting system. Online approval routing is automated.

"We offset the cost of implementing Procure to Pay within three months just by eliminating the cost of transporting invoices by courier," said Kathy Whitman, LumaCorp's executive vice president. "The new products and process changes will continue to drive significant cost reductions and let our staff members devote more time to revenue-generating activities."

LumaCorp also elected to take advantage of Yardi's Application Service Provider hosting service so it can access Voyager as software-as-a-service. With ASP hosting, Yardi serves and maintains the Voyager application and database for LumaCorp from its data center, assuming responsibility for all application updates, network security, hardware, bandwidth, and infrastructure, allowing LumaCorp to focus on its principal business.
